R.Steen Craft Sale Was Awesome As Usual

I just got back from this sale and it has not let me down.  It is a very simple, comfortable sale.  It is one of my favorites each year and I always end up spending more money there then any other sale. The kiddos are eating popcorn and watching Toy Story 3 so I have a moment to talk about my morning at R.E.Steen. :)

R.E.Steen was a mix of knitwear, handmade dolls & stuffies, jewelry, soap, photography, art, tasty treats for all, and more.  I picked up my stock of soaps made by Soaps N Stuff and Sandy's Soap.  I got a beautiful headband with feathers from Calamity Ayne, knit dish clothes, button earrings for my girl for Christmas, cloth bookmarks, blueberry raspberry jam, African hot sauce, art postcards by Marathon 1981, sugar cookies, and a soapstone dish made in Kenya. 

I was not a very thoughtful shopper today because I forgot to get business cards.  I can't feature many of the artisans. :(  Sorry.  If I miss someone please let me know and I will add it to the list.  :)

Manitoba Craft Council Proclaims To Have The Event of The Year. We Will See. :D

Manitoba Craft Council and This Ain't Your Grandma's Craft Sale are pairing up on Friday night to bring you the Best of Manitoba Craft under one roof.  They definitely entice me with their promise of thirty-eight and counting contemporary craft artists, live music, dancing, & food. 

This gala event takes place Friday, Nov 26 (5pm-10 pm) and Saturday, Nov 27 (10am-4pm) at the West End Cultural Centre.

Coming in December: Montrose Holiday Spirit Craft Show

"The Montrose School Parent Council presents The Holiday Spirit Craft Show! It will be held on Saturday, December 11th from 9am-4pm. Just in time for you to escape the crazy malls and find the perfect, one-of-a-kind gift!

We will be hosting over 25 different artisans with a wide variety of talents and skills. Some of the tables will include all natural skin care products, gorgeous pottery, jewellery, original art, cards, holiday decor, children’s toys, accessories, fashions, and more!!! Everything is made by hand by local people.

On top of the plethora of great gift ideas for sale, we will have a silent auction, raffle draw, bake table, and refreshments. Admission is FREE, though we will gratefully accept donations at the door.

All the funds raised from this sale will go towards the purchase of Smart Board technology and software for the classrooms at Montrose School.
