Midsummer at the Wolseley Farmer's Market

I posted way back about the approaching farmers market at R.A.Steen Community Centre at 980 Palmerston Ave.  Now it is midsummer and I have been frequenting it most weeks.  It is close, fun and now that it is midsummer there is a lot of great vendors to take my money.  I made the mistake of only bringing a small amount of money with me this week because I was biking with the kids and was planning on stopping in for a couple of Debra-Jean's delicious treats on her bake table.  I do now have a wish list though for next week.  I didn't get a card from all the vendors and my memory is awful so you will have to check it out to find out those kind of details.  My brain works great at cataloging everything I want though: the whole wheat sourdough bread from one vendor, the baguette from another, smoked rainbow trout for my hubby, and a huge $25 container of local honey.  These I have to buy next week. Along with that I recall Jonnies Sticky Buns, a soap making lady, and yummy looking carrots from Jonathan's Farm.  There were a few other vendors that have slipped my mind because I had no money so I skipped over to Bee Project Apiaries for my children's chocolate honey and then we left sadly because I was out of money.  I did get one card for Watersong Farms.  I am a vegetarian but alas my husband is not so I thought he may be interested in some clean and fresh rainbow trout.

If you are in the area or not too far of a drive from Wolseley it is a great drop in.  Bring the kids because there is the R.A.Steen wading pool that is open until 5:30pm.  Shop, swim, and enjoy beautiful Wolseley.  The Farmer's Market hours are Tuesday and Thursday 4pm-8pm.
